The celebration is focused on the shared values of the different countries and includes a range of activities and cultural events. The Commonwealth website states that: “Commonwealth Day is an annual celebration observed by people all over the Commonwealth in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Americas, the Pacific and Europe".
